HEALING SESSIONS

In practice since 1984, my personal and professional knowledge and background may be an aid in supporting your healing process. Trained as a holistic nurse psychotherapist initially, I later added energy therapy (Healing Touch & other interventions) and application of Sacred Geometry to facilitate the healing process. Starting with a comprehensive intake interview and framing life within a spiritual orientation, the intent is to empower clients toward healing in physical, emotional, mental and/or spiritual issues, including release of trauma. 

Life patterns are recognized and addressed. Self-care methods are taught. 

 Individualized plans are developed. Usually we can discern if we are a good match for working together through our consultation call or after the first session. 

As an experienced elder, I have integrated decades of knowledge in nursing, psychotherapy, spiritual studies, holistic modalities and energy medicine into my practice. Empowerment of the client is crucial as well as creating sacred space and safety. This includes  the belief that clients can discern  how best to heal. 

While honoring each person’s freedom and responsibility for self care, I embrace my role as a nurse, educator, witness, counselor, cheerleader and guide in the  process of assisting those who trust their care to me. My faith is in Christ, and I have worked successfully with all types of Christians as well as those of other faiths and those who are seekers of Truth.

If you choose to work with me, I will commit to:

• Honoring and respecting your beliefs and your freedom, and I will be honest with you.
• Respectfully encouraging you to fully own your path of self  healing, and guiding you in how to do this in a way that is right for  you.
• Treating you as a whole person – body, mind and spirit.
• Sharing knowledge and skills with you that will help you heal and  grow, and being honest with you.
• Creating sacred space during our sessions, and holding you in thought and prayer in between sessions.
• Referring you to other practitioners, if needed, who may be able to complement our work, or continue what we started together because their specialty is not within my scope of practice or expertise.
• Referring you to other practitioners if I do not feel we can effectively work together.
• Practicing within the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics as described in the Healing Touch Program.

As my client, you will be asked to sign an informed consent so that we establish respectful and clear professional boundaries for our working relationship.

Use of Touch 

Energy Therapy can be received without any direct physical touch because the practitioner’s hands are within the biofield of the client. When touch is used, it is very light and gentle, and is never manipulative (as in chiropractic) or with pressure (as in massage). When physical contact is made, it is generally a gentle “hands still” kind of touch. Clients generally receive energy therapy in a face up position, based  on either the selected intervention or comfort preference. Sessions can also be administered in an upright position in a chair or recliner if needed.

 If the session is long distance, you may be surprised with your experience of sensing healing energy and a deeper sense of your spiritual  self.
