My Journey in the Healing Arts 

My journey in the healing arts launched in 1982 after leaving 6 years of mainstream psychiatric nursing, and has been a rich, adventurous, and powerful path since then. The spiritual aspects of body-mind-spirit health and healing have always taken precedence for me, because, at our core, we are spiritual beings.  My background in psychotherapy, research, nursing, energy therapy (including trauma release)’ sacred geometry, Anthroposophy, forty years of being an adult educator in holistic healing, 15 years as the leader of Healing Touch Program, and world travel has provided life experiences and lessons.  Through teaching several hundred classes and speaking at conferences, I have met thousands of striving, heart-centered  students and practitioners over the years who sought to be instruments of healing for others. I hope to share a few bits of acquired wisdom that might be interesting and encouraging for you in your life.

Perhaps you would like to go deeper into exploring your spiritual self or your  life's destiny? It is my heart's desire to create a safe and sacred space for those who come to me to seek healing and self-exploration.

I have always been interested in people's faith, what they believe, why, and how they practice their beliefs. We are all called to a unique relationship with God and we all have a very important life purpose or destiny during our sojourn on Earth. I hold deep respect for the different expressions of seeking God and one's purpose in life. Christianity in its mysticism is my path, as well as being a student of Anthroposophy since 1990.

 I am comfortable and effective working with people of various faiths as well as with those who are searching.Many people who work with me as clients are exploring or deepening their spiritual life.

Six Professional Services

The Sacred Geometry & Energy Therapy online course I offer may also be an effective way for you to engage in self-exploration and self-healing, while also expanding your consciousness of the vastness and beauty of creation and your relationship with Higher Power. Learning even the basics of Sacred Geometry and how it applies to our health, our bodies and our self care, will put you in a place of awe, wonder, reverence, humility,  gratitude and hunger to learn more.

In person Sacred Geometry & Energy Therapy classes are also possible. It is a two day course with 12 CE contact hours. Contact me if you are interested, and of course, read the testimonials!  

You are also invited to consider an Energy Therapy Session in person or virtually. Both methods are effective, supportive and gentle. I embraced energy therapy as my vocational practice forty years ago and have worked with many people who have a wide variety of body-mind-spirit issues.

Having taught hundreds of classes and thousands of students, practitioners and instructors  since 1996 through The Healing Touch Program, and later adding Sacred Geometry in 2005, you might be interested in an in person or online Consultation where we can discuss and explore interventions, energy therapy theory, ethics, therapeutic presence, the human energy system and our spiritual bodies, teaching methods and self-care.

Maybe you are interested in learning about body prayer via the DVD download, a personalized session or a class? I first practiced it as Eurythmy in 1996. Eurythmy was created by Rudolf Steiner, founder of Waldorf Education. As I began sharing what I termed "body prayer" with holistic nurses and energy practitioners, I followed guidance to individualize the practice and prayers to persons and groups. More on Cynthia's Vocational History

Cynthia is a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner, an internationally known instructor in energy therapy and Healing Touch, and a holistic nurse psychotherapist. She retired in December 2018 from fifteen years as the Educational Program Director (2003-2018) for Healing Touch Program™ (HTP). Sacred Geometry in Energy Therapy is the major focus for her practice and teaching. 

Cynthia began studying holistic healing, natural healing and energy therapies in the early 1980s. She is an avid student of spirituality in general and esoteric Christianity specifically, via Anthroposophy, Catholicism and Christian mysticism. 

As a doctorally-prepared nurse from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. (1987), Cynthia is also knowledgeable in western health sciences and integrating mainstream care with holistic approaches. A mother of three awesome daughters, Cynthia has lived in Boulder, Colorado since 1993.

Cynthia earned a master’s degree as a clinical specialist in mental health nursing (1979), and has maintained a private practice since 1992. In 1995, Cynthia initiated the research program for Healing Touch and became the first Director of Research (1995-2000). She was invited by Janet Mentgen (founder of HT) in 2003 to serve as the Assistant Program Director. Cynthia became the Program Director in May of 2005, several months before Janet’s death, and was asked by Janet to carry on her legacy of the Healing Touch Program, which she dedicated herself to through 2018. Teaching all levels of HTP curriculum, she brings enthusiasm, empowerment and creativity to her classes.  

Her love of sacred geometry manifested into two forms of classes: an online, on demand course; and a two day Sacred Geometry and Energy Therapy in person course.The content of both courses is identical. Attendees learn the theory and spiritual teachings of sacred geometry  and how to apply these forms within one’s own or the client’s energy field for  body-mind-spirit health and healing. In her private practice, Cynthia treasures her time administering in-person and long-distance sessions with clients and students, and works with people of all ages, faiths and  health conditions. Many persons gravitate to her who are working on spiritual issues. She combines her years of experience as an energy medicine practitioner with her knowledge of psychology, spirituality, treatment of trauma, holistic nursing, and holistic health practices. 

In 2011, Cynthia developed a workshop on body prayer and has taught it at a dozen conferences, as both a keynote speaker and workshop presenter. (See her website to purchase the DVD link.) Her understanding and teaching is based on Rudolf Steiner’s EURYTHMY and has been part of her spiritual practice for over 25 years. She often teaches from a universal spiritual perspective but also delights in presenting it from a Christian perspective.
